Children and their family
Meeting with a child in therapy first means listening to a kind of speech that is not always made of words. Difficulties may appear through play, behaviour, sleep, eating or relationships with others. The clinical work seeks to understand these expressions and to offer a space where the child can feel secure, recognised and understood without judgement.
Meeting with parents can be an essential part of this process. They allow to connect present difficulties to the child's story as well as to support parental confidence and understanding.
Sometimes the focus of the sessions is on the parent-child bond itself - for example when early interactions, sleep or separations are challenging, or when concerns arise about development or emotional imbalance.
The goal is to make sense of that is being expressed so that both child and parents can find a calmer, trusting and nurturing way to relate.
